Does not last
The design is outstanding but the wood dries out easily outdoors. I faithfully treated my chairs 3 X a year with a wood preserving compound to keep their looks but they became shabby and splintery anyway.

Great Set at a Great PriceI ordered this set from Ewins and I am very pleased with the quality the look and the comfort of it. Good construction bad for shower
I bought this as a cheap solution for my wife to shave her legs in the shower. Bad for this application as the finish quickly starts to come off. I have since bought her an unfinished teak one from smithandhawken.com that works great. It was the cheapest best looking real teak one I could find at the time. We moved this one to our front porch and it is working out ok there. I think it would wear best in the house in a dry area.

I did purchase two of these chaise lounges from Amazon. One arrived damaged and I had no problems exchanging it for a new one. I had these lounges on my new paver patio from June through October. they were covered with those green plastic covers.
A few things observed:
After a few months the sliding tray failed to slide out.
One of the dowels that hold up the back of the chair had cracked and fell apart.
My patio was stained with the orange dye used to make these chairs appear to be teak.
I emailed Amazon and explained the situation. I have to commend Amazon for REFUNDING ME ENTIRELY for my purchase and for the SHIPPING too after having these chaise lounges for over 6 months. I received a refund for $239.98. Also they gave me a $20 credit for my trouble.
Point is the manufacturer is producing a terrible product and Amazon has had to deal with it.
In one of the emails Amazon wrote to me and implied that they were not going to continue selling this product. Obviously they have not done that.
So word to the wise do not buy these chairs. They look to be of high quality but are far from that. And I wish you luck in getting your refund too.

I have mixed feelingsI was so excited when I opened the huge pallet of boxes that arrived. It all looked great for such a value. Plantation wood from Indonesia was printed on the boxes. Only when I started putting things together did I second guess my choice. There were some broken end pieces that I decided I could deal with and fix. My real irritation started with the pegs sent for putting the chairs together. - There is no hardware for it except for the wooden pegs. (A similar set on Amazon named cassara from a high end patio store stated they use stainless steel hardware on their set that costs much much more.) The pegs are not strong enough to be tapped into the holes with as much force as need. Only about 50 percent of the time was I able to get them all the way in without them starting to smash at the ends or beak all together. This resulted in a wobbly chair. I could not find replacement pegs the proper size at the hardware store. Finally I just started putting the chairs together and re-drilling the holes before I began doing anything. I would then take the chair back apart add gorilla glue and then tap in the pegs. This seems to be working better at achieving a sturdier chair. There are still some gaps where pieces meet because the chairs were not put together tightly enough before the holes were drilled by the manufacturer. The table came with larger and much stronger pegs. Overall the set looks nice and I gave it 4 stars because it is a fraction of the price of similar sets I have seen.
The chairs are comfortable even without a cushion but are better with one. A deeper seat (that I believe they offer in another set) would be more comfortable for lounging/slouching in the chairs.

teak patio setI'm very happy with this set. It was delivered in excellent condition and was actually very easy to put together. The wood is beautiful and the furniture is well designed. I felt the wood was a little dry so I rubbed it down with teak oil which brought out the grain and warmed up the color while moisturizing the wood. It's sturdy and comfortable. Although I felt it was a fair value I would have liked to pay a little less. However I shopped around and this was a good deal for teak. The teak substitutes are heavy. I would definitely recommend this set.

Attractive teak tableWe bought two of these tables and although one came with a broken teak restraining strap under the table that holds the folding leg when the table is collapsed (I managed to glue it) I would recommend them. They are attrtactive with good clear teak and fold nicely to store.
